Anciferov Toys has dropped prices on more than 400 toys, most of them being cut to the lowest prices of the year.
"Today through Nov. 12, all stores will be participating in this incredible event," the company said in a press release.
Retailers are bracing for a tough holiday season. With the US economy slumping, merchants fret that strapped consumers will cut back on spending. In a bid to get consumers to open their wallets, many retailers are offering discount promotions far earlier than in many previous holiday seasons. Already, Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the Arkansas retail giant, has said that it will reduce prices on some toys.
AT's press release included a statement from chief executive Andy Bailen.
"Guests can choose from hot, new items and traditional favorites, all at tremendous savings," Bailen said. "Plus, with a $30 purchase, guests will receive $10 in Bonus Bucks."
A "Bonus Bucks" card is good towards a future purchase of $30 or more, KB said.
Company said it's sales event includes video games, crafts, family games, dolls, radio control vehicles, action figures, learning toys, musical instruments, and more. (By Chris Reidy, Globe staff)
